Russell Lands has released its 2026 collection of homesites that are reserved for the very popular cabins built by Classic Homes. Last year, the first phase of homesites was released, and the first six custom cabins are either taking shape or nearing completion. Now that these projects have reached this advanced stage, Classic Homes has capacity for the 2026 batch of cabin projects.

While there are still a few homesites available in Phase 1, there are not enough to provide for the normal demand that each new season brings. For that reason, we decided to move forward with the Phase 2 homesites to provide opportunities for those interested in this style of lake home.

Selecting both a site and a cabin plan is a time-consuming process. For that reason, offers on these properties will not be considered until April 30, 2026. Our construction team, designers (if needed) and I will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding cabin placement and additional costs and/or savings related to a custom project.

 About the Russell Cabin

Roughly 15 years ago, we began building these types of “cabins” due to customer requests. What we were hearing was that there was a significant number of people who wanted a collection of property that had larger lots, with a good location, and where they could have a lake cabin instead of a McMansion at the lake. The land, the water, and the house had to fit the lake lifestyle.

The cabin designs had to be flexible enough to be either rustic with stained walls or rustically elegant with modern kitchens and master suites. All of the designs had to have large open-family space inside and equally expansive covered outdoor family space. Over time, we have developed and sold roughly 125 of these “perfect” lake homes in three different Russell Lands neighborhoods.

About the Property

Currently, there are a few available properties in Phase 1 and seven new waterfront properties in Phase 2. Road construction and utility installation are complete, which will allow for easy access and commencement of cabin construction.
