TURPENTINE TALES: A WALK THROUGH THE FOREST 2025

Come join all the ‘animals’ in the Russell Forest Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25 from 6-7:30pm for Turpentine Tales. Turpentine Tales, held in the ruins of the old Dixie Industrial Company’s Turpentine Distillery, features some awesome children actors depicting animals. These animals, from meek to domineering, will describe, in detail, their role in the forest. You may find a herd of deer, a bald eagle, and maybe even a possum or two. Meet your friends at Russell Crossroads near the Town Green stage where our trail guides will give you a bit of history before you wander into the forest! As the walk on the Turpentine Trail comes to an end, make sure to find the camp fire and S’mores – a delicious sweet treat at the end of your walk.
